3.7L Mercruiser starts and idles but die with throttle

i have a 89' Wellcraft Classic 180 with a 3.7L Mercruiser. I just had the carb cleaned, new spark plugs, new points, fuel filter, and oil filter put in. I had the boat out running great, and then I docked it for about 2 hours. When I went back out the boat starts fine and shifts into gear but as soon as you give it throttle it dies. I left the boat idle for 20 mins but then with the throttle it died again. Any ideas?

Go thru your carb

Agree, back to the carb and check the accelerator pump adjustment

So I went back today to try and diagnosis it. But it started right up fine and I took it for a ride and nothing went wrong. Any idea how that problem just goes away?

Got some crud in between pump and carb. The stuff floats in and sometimes gets expelled, when it doesn't then you can really find the problem

Either that or those pesky little gremlins
