Hi there
My boat is relatively short with not even 6 meters in length. While cruising slowly, the boat does not go straight, there is a need of adjusting the steefing all the time. Now I have fitted a standard 3 blade prop. Would a 4 blade be better for this?
I don?t even know what sterndrive is fitted. Mercruiser 165 IL 6 year 1979 was that an Alpha one?
Best,
Markus

I have used 3&4 andmI don't think that would make any difference. The should be an anode above/behind the prop that is the best way for adjustment. Does it always go the same direction? If so, move the anode in that diection. If it just wanders all over, not much you can do there. Some Bayliners are really bad doing that.

Nope,... That's typical V-hull wander....

Just do less correcting, 'n it'll bring itself back...

To be more specific pay close attention to the boats actions to avoid over correction and late corrections. Trim tabs can dampen wander and improve hole shot ,stay on plane with less throttle.
A 4 blade prop might react slightly quicker but its up to you to control it.
