Welcome to Iboats,

If you don't provide max achieved wot numbers with you alone, lightly loaded bosat on flat calm no wind waters anf GPS speed it's a wild guess...Must install a induction tach. What are you trying to accomplish ?

I'm happy with the 3 blade performance, but if the 4 blade will give'r more go I'd go with the 4. the boat usually 1 person with fishing equip& deepcycle

It won't give you more speed, but a better hole shot, and quicker response to the throttle.

A 4 blade won't give her more "go"; if by that you mean more speed. It might accelerate a little faster to plane, but run a little slower at top speed due to increased blade area causing more drag at high speed.

Unless you're needing better "grip" at the expense of top speed, I'd stay with a 3 blade.

Anyway, which size boat, which HP engine, which max stated HP engine are we talking about ?

Usually standard factory delivered props on portable motorrs up to 50 HP engines placed on light boats gives good or near max wot rpm factory stated for that engine. Will need your wot numbers to check if inside min-max safe wot parameters, then can go from there selecting a pitch that's best for your current boat/engine appications.
