3 way switch turned off, motor running

Mistakenly turned switch to off for about a minute. Noticed since,voltage meter says 15.5 volts all the time no matter whitch position switch is in. I think I may have damaged diodes in the rectifier/regulator. Any thoughts other than"dumb ****"?

I doubt you hatched any rectifier diodes, but you probably hatched the regulator.
