New boat owner looking to purchase a 30' cruiser.
Plan to use on inland waterways. Any suggestions on a good choice to make?

How much do you want to spend. For the money I would look at Searay or Chaparral. I would look for twin screws, inboads over strendrives if you head for the salt (easier to maintain). Both have pros and cons.

Sorry you didn't get more responses. Here are some threads on cruiser brands on other sites -

Top tier cruiser

Best Used 30'+ Cruiser

You will likely have to register at those sites before these links will work right.

Kelly Cook

I own a 280 Regal which is a little over 30 ft.It is wide(10ft) and heavy(8800lbs),plenty of room, big cockpit and aftcabin.I have had 2 Regals and recommend them highly. It is a very well made boat and not a premium priced boat.I have 2 v8 230 hp mercruisers and believe it or not as long as i dont go over 33mph it is fairly economical.I used the same amount of fuel on my 255 Regal with a single 5.7 260hp merc.
