30 hp 4 stroke gas tank move

I have a 2010 30 hp 4 stroke, on a 14.75 Lund Rebel with side console. How far forward can I move the gas tank?
The gas tank and two batteries are in the back, takes a long time to plane. Can I move the gas tank up front
into the storage area? It would be about 10 feet from the motor. Or would it be better to move the batteries up front?

You can move the gas tank, no problem. It would be easier than rewiring the batteries.
