30 HP carburetor replacement

I have a 1990 CV30ELD 30HP engine that needs a new carb and yamaha has discontinued the part 689-14301-73-00. My mechanic tells me that it appears that it is not in shape to be rebuilt. Any suggestions as to where to go for used parts or other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!!

GA Boater, thanks for the quick reply, I have found a few websites that still list the carb assembly, but when you ask they say it is discontinued. I asked the question again to see if iboats actually has the part. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The specific part number carburetor is no longer available from Yamaha USA or Yamaha Japan. Last used on a C30ELRQ from 1992.

Seems that used carbs can be found on the inner web. It might be possible to replace the 689-14301-73-00 carburetor with the version used on a 1993 C30ELRR model. 61T-14301-02-00 which is available.
