30' Spectre cat transom repair

Long story short, Friends new boat has some damage. The transom hole was apparently cut to low and repaired, its since gotten worse.


Its a new to them boat pulled the engines for some upgrades and found this.

How can it be repaired without a whole transom redo? The wood is not rotten.

I know this is a very different boat to see on this forum, I have never seen 1" thick fiberglass before the hull is mostly that thick or more.

It ran 85 mph on gps in the rough water see trial.

Going 85mph , I'd think about rebuilding the transom for proper strength if your unsure about it's integrity. The motors are out and NOW would be a great time to access the transom from the inside. This will also need some repair to the outer skin. Are both sides like this?


I'm sure the guys will be along to give you better advice...
