My boat takes a 25inch shaft. I was told that the 300hp johnson short shaft is 23inches. Will that work on my boat. They say the long shaft is 28inches. Does anyone know anything about this. Would hate to buy a motor that would not work. Most motors are 20inch & 25inch. Why is this one differant. Thanks
