Anybody have owned or worked on these? I hear they are heavy built like a Bertram, I can get this one cheap though it may need engines. The owner is asking $3,000 it has a pair of 454's but they were left full of water, unknown what kid of damage there, I would convert to diesels anyway. He has a trailer but after moving it from where its at in Orlando he wants it back, I'm looking for a restoration project.

I would re=power if the engines (2x7.4) ran which they do not, I believe as the owners says in the listing they were left full of water and may need to be replaced. As a diesel mechanic I would get some modern engines from a salvage or burn job. I can dig up 7.3 Internationals all day long from schoolbusses and or get lucky and find some 6.6 Duramax's.

I'd say the boat's got a lot of potential. What shape are the internals in? If you have to repower and refinish it's one thing, but a stringer and transom redo would not be much fun on top of that.

The price is pretty good, though.

There's no doubt that she's a tough boat. Heavy, rolls like hell in a beam sea and plows like a dog in a following sea. But you could hit a jetty at 10 knots and probably just knock off some paint ;). Looks like a bunch of work but as erik mentioned be cautious of all the rest. Might run into a LOT of money.

I am going to pass on it, I am learning a lot on these boat forums, thanks everyone for helping me out, I am sure something better is out there, I'm not being cheap its my principle to stay debt free as much as I can, economy is too full of potholes.
