Yes, most 35's actually come without the tiller and are set up for remote, but you don't have to make any changes to your motor to run it with remote controls. Just attach your cables and away you go. You will need the little brackets that mount on the motor, to attach your cables and that's it.
As far as converting to a simgle line tank, it's real easy with those motors, because many models after '58 and '59 used the single line and those include the 35hp ('58 and '59) and the 33hp The 28hp may have different bypass covers, but I know the 33hp has a bypass cover and fuel pump that will mount right on. The '58 and '59 35 has a larger fuel pump and it may not allow your shroud to close properly. The 40hp with the smaller fuel pump should work too.
