You should be running coolant (anti freeze 50/50 solution) in your exchanger.

Anyway, a heat exchanger leak will not show up in the oil unless you have an oil cooler running through there too.

Typically, oil and water mixing happens one of several ways.

1. Head gaskets.

2. Intake manufold and/or gaskets.

3. Exhaust manifold(s).

If you can, put some dye in the coolant and see if it ends up in the oil. That will eliminate your heat exchanger.

If it's Freshwater Cooled...
The Heatexchanger is Water to Water.... No Oil there....

My 1st Guess would be the Intake Gasket has a Problem..........
Could be a Head Gasket..... But the Intake come off First.... Inspect it Closely.....

Depending on How it's plumbed, an Oil Cooler Might be a Problem.........

The block might be cracked? Does the temp gauge work? Have you had it at a very high temp? Is the thermastat sticking?
