Does anyone know if a lower unit from a 1967 35hp twin will fit a 1968 50hp? Also, where do I find the part number on one of these? Thanks in advance, <br /><br />Jer
It should fit - key will be length of driveshaft as Mercury played around with a variation on the tower housing somewhere in the late 1960s - not sure when. I know I tried a '69 lower unit on a '66 motor and the driveshaft was short by about an inch...<br />- Scott
