How do you make 36 volt to run a 36 volt trolling motor, how many batteries, how do you hook them up, what size of cable to use, thank's for your time. Kansas Basser

Well to get 36 volts you need to daisy chain 3 batteries together. Neg from 1 to pos on the next and so on. This is called a series circuit.

Minimum size 2 cable with good quality lugs that will need to be properly crimped on. Use a suitable circuit breaker also.
