Dose this stuff really need to be used within 24 hours after the tube has been opened like it says or is there a way of making it last longer?
Thanks

You mean a caulk gun tube??? I buy the smaller tube and can recap it for later use as long as there is no air/moisture in there.

Air and moisture cure them.

think a peice of duct tape on the open nozzle end would seal it off from air, moisture??????

The stuff won't last that long, but I have been able to use it a month after opening it, even longer.

Have a great day

Re: 3m 4200/5200

Thanks, I bought a tube of each and got to reading the (destructions) and did not want to put the hole boat back together in one day. I will try the duct tape or maybe even plastic over the openings I hope it works.

Thank You

Need to keep it tightly sealed and cool. Plastic bag or plastic wrap around the nozzle and tape tightly closed. As mentioned, exposure to air and/or moisture (even humid air) will begin to cure it. I've kept mine for over 6 months and still good BUT, urethanes should be used with a year.
