I have used 3M 5200 and it is on my must list of stuff to keep around. Never tried the 4200? What uses is it best suited for and what is the difference between the 5200 & 4200?

I believe the 4200 is for use where you might want to take something apart later... It's not as "perminate" as 5200...

think snapper is right. 5200 is a poly-something. 4200 is a blend of poly-something and poly-something. like my technical description?

Is it a polysulfide like the life caulk?.. I have used life caulk for years to bed stantions and fittings, it stays somewhat soft so the part can be removed if needed...
