I own a septic tank cleaning service in the seattle area. I contacted my supplier about purchasing 5 tubes of 3M 5200. he contacted 3M and they told him that they are no longer making the 5200 in the caulking gun size tubes any more. seems that the 4200 is more popular. they will be making it in the small tubes that hang on the hooks in the silicone dept. as well as some bulk containers. just a heads up.

no, actually i need them to seal up a couple of riser pipes to septic tanks. I will use the 4200 to seal the top cap to hull joint. in the 2nd and 4th pic you can see my septic pumper truck in the background.

Believe it or not, I bought some 5200 at my local Home Depot. And it was about 2.50 cheaper than anywhere else. Nice job on your boat by the way!

there is still alot of the caulking gun sized tubes out there but from what 3M said, once its gone, its gone. what is the shelf life of this stuff. might be worth buying 3 or 4 tubes to have. the boat is coming along. I should be posting new pics tomorrow. the bulkhead is curing up right now so I can't get into the boat to take new pics. my plan is to have everthing but the floor in this weekend.

sikaflex and life caulk are always good alternatives
