I have a 1990 4.3 liter mercrsuier, which I am in the final process of rebuilding.

I am going to rent a preoiler later today and I as wondering if any of you DIYERS have built a box to simulate the ingnition? The installation on the boat is very tight I am seriously considering starting it up on the engine stand to do the ignition timing. I am just not sure how I am going to start it.

Chime in with any advice!

Ayuh,... With the motor Fully assembled,...
Feed it Fuel, 'n Water....
Hook the Battery to the starter, 'n a jumper to the (+) terminal on the coil....
Then jumper the small terminal, closest the block on the starter solenoid, 'n she should be Runnin'...
