4.3 290dp propeller question

Motor is a volvo 431a 205 hp 290 dp drive GEAR RATIO is 2.30/1 and the boat is a 92 monterey 206 scr. I bought the boat with b6 props. THe props are great for ski/tube but my wot is just over 5000 rpm. Yes my tach is correct checked it with a digital timing light. My question is weather i can stay in my WOT range of 4400-4800 with b8's? Thanks in advance for any input

Are your B6's aluminum or stainless? Stainless will perform better with less flex. I would think B7's that would be the right prop set. I remember somewhere hearing that each step down or up in the DP series props would correspond to a 300-400 rpm change in speed. Only one real way to find out! Good luck. Post your results.
