Well, I gave up on the SmokerCraft deck boat. The quality was not what I am used to in a boat. I am back to looking at 2 different SeaRay boats. The first is a 190 Sundeck that has a 4.3L six installed with an Alpha drive. I know this would be underpowered in the larger 210 sundeck, but what about the 190????

Anyone have this setup that can comment on the power. We are not heavy wakeboarders, but my son is getting older. May do some of this in the future.

Have you owned sea rays in the past?, maybe you can help me in this boat. I have the 1991 185 sea ray Bowrider, 5.0 LX V8. lots of power, what is your take on this or sea rays in general??

I have the 4.3 in my GX 185 Glastron and it is very strong. As a matter of fact, I am quite surprised by its power. Fifty plus MPH and I have pulled wakeboarders with 5 adults in the boat with no hesitation at all. I would think the 190 would also do fine with it. If you can, opt for the fuel injected model which bumps the HP up from 190 to 220. Perfect!
