4.3 closed water cooled to fresh water cooled

i am doing a repower 1990 4.3 v6,i bough a long block from rapido,what is involved in going to fresh water cooled,i run mostly in salt water,it rots everything,i am useing many new parts to build this engine,is it poss.to go to fresh water cooled,dollar wise......

Just google fresh water cooling kit mercury

several places sell them. Most likely I boats has them. cost is around $900

If you want to include your manifolds you may need to install a different pump, strainer and through hull pickup.
