I just purchased my first boat a 2003 Stingray 200LX with the 4.3 Volvo Penta GXi-C. The previous owner let it sit for 2 years. It is giving me some problems. The first time out it ran fine for about 45 min and then ran rough and would not go over 2500 RPM. I took it home pumped the old fuel out, cleaned the distributor contacts and rotor, changed the plugs, fuel filter and battery. When I took it out yesterday it would not run, brought it home and it ran fine on the hose. Took it out this morning and ran ok for the first 30 - 45 min (alittle rough at 3500 sounded like it might be missing), we shut it off to take break and it did not want to start. Finally got it running and it would not run over 2500 RPM and stalled once. I don't think it's a fuel delivery problem. I had the same issue with a motorcycle a few years back and it turned out to be an ignition module. Worth relaxing it? I love the boat and want to get it running for the summer. Any advice would be appreciated before I have to shell out major money at a marina. Josh
