Have a Mercruiser 4.3 l that is draining my battery in two days, sitting in garage. With everything off, I was pulling 2.3 amps thru amp meter off battery. Pulled everything until I got to alternator. When I pulled the feed to alternator, the load lifted. Pulled all leads except ground and supply and still showed 2.2 amps at alternator. Don't know much about alternators...should I be pulling amps thru it when off or is it bad?
