4.3 LX block drain screws

my copper drain screws are starting to round off on the edges making screwing them in and out a PITA.

I have been looking online for some but havent been able to come across the right ones. my screws have very small threads... the one i found had very thich threads and was plastic..

any suggestions

Ayuh,... Take yours to your local Hardware Store,+ replace them with Brass Pipe Plugs....

The 1s in your block are 1/4"pipe,... The manifolds are either 1/4" or 1/8" pipe thread...

When you go to the hardware store, ask for "Brass Hex plugs" they have a hex head on them instead of the square head found on most pipe plugs.
For the Blue plastic plugs with the oring on them, head to your local Merc dealer and buy several and keep a couple as spares for when one breaks. The Merc PN is 806608A1

I know they have them at home depot in the plumbing section in little white plastic baggies.

thanks guys. also i dont have any blue blugs any where on my motor. just brass plugs on block and elbows.

Mine has the brass adapter fittings with the fine thread that screw into the block, and that take the blue plastic / oring plugs. The make life a lot easier when you have to drain things...
