I need to pull out and drop in a new motor in my 2004 crownline. I found a like new drop in motor for $1500 (16hr round trip to get it. won't ship) and a few gmc 4.3 motors with 130k - 160k miles on them. they come with a 1 year warranty and ship free for $900. which is going to be best for me to do. Im work on all my trucks myself and I have swapped motors in my 4700 dump truck with a idi 7.3. Im new to boats, but I figure it won't be that bad. I would like some opinions from those who have worked on boats. Thank you

Ayuh,....... Welcome Aboard,....... The low hour drop-in would be easier, as the truck motors need to be stripped to the long block, then redressed with the marine accessories,......
