I bought a 2007 mariah with a 4.3 mercruiser with a bad block. I have replaced the engine with a remanufactured 4.3. I must have hooked the wiring up wrong or something as I have a 2 wire female weather pack left over and cannot find the three wire pack for the crank position sensor.
The two wire pack that I cannot find a home for comes off the harness after the starter and just before the fuel filter. I assumed it was fir the crank sensor as it does reach there by going under the fuel pump. I cannot find the crankshaft position wiring (three wire) pack anywhere.
The two wire connection has a purple/red and a red wire. the purple/red looks to come back out of the harness and attaches to the coil while the red looks to come out and attach to a junction box with a hot.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram or is able to shed some light on either of these?
Tia
