I rebuilt lower end of my 1992 4.3. Thunderbolt IV.. I put back together the harness. Now when I have the Control Module attached to the triangle plate. It gives me a slow crank, When I unplug it, it give me a faster crank.

Lou, I am pretty sure they are. I will double check this evening when I get home. When I took the harness apart the purple wire fell out. So I just pushed it back in and ses to be all connected to the pins. PS I can't find in the manual what the colors mean on the ignition module. Can you please shine some light what the four wires are?

Look at the troubleshooting guide in the stickies

Sounds like plug wires or timing are off

If firing order is off the engine could be fighting itself

if timing is too far advanced, it would be fighting the motor as well.
