We just bought the boat and ran great for 5 hours striaght on the way home. When we docked the boat and waited 30 min to go back out the port engine would not start....it would sputter and die -then when we waited 25 min it started and ran fine
Any help would be great

Sounds like vapor lock, how hot is it in the engine compartment when it doesn't start?

Just curious to find out if you solved this issue?
I have the same problem. It happened the first time about three years ago. Ran the boat for a few hours, got out and swam for another hour and when I tried to start the engine, it ran for a few seconds and stopped. Got a tow to the dock, before putting it on the trailer I tried the ignition and it fired right up. Problem was definitely no fuel to the engine. I changed out the fuel filter and it has run fine till last week. Same thing happened and I changed out the filter, but it did it again after letting the engine sit an hour after a good run.
Quick observation: Run the boat for hours, turn off and back on and it runs fine. Run the boat for hours, turn off for an hour and it gets no fuel till it cools down below 100 degrees.
It would be great if you've discovered the problem.
