4.3 OMC gimbal replacement??

Last season I had some vibration during slow cruising and turning. I removed the sterndrive for the winter and the u-joints seem silky smooth. I haven't had a chance to inspect the Gimbal Bearing, but I'm assuming that's where my problem is. <br />I'm curious about how to remove the old and install the new. Do I need some sort of special puller to get it out?

Dont count out the ujoints so fast.They may feel silky smoothe but may have some excess play.Place your fingers on the gimbal bearing and turn it .It should feel"silky smoothe "while turning.If it feels anything but silky you will need a puller to get it out.Charlie
