4.3 OMC - slight vibrations

About a month ago I bought an '89 Sunbird with the 4.3 omc set up. I've had it in the water a couple times now - pulling a wakeboarder most of the time. I've been very pleased overall with they way it starts and runs.<br /><br />I'm a little concerned because I'm getting slight vibrations most noticable when turning and/or accelerating. I would consider the prop to be in fair condition, but I've been on boats with much worse props that didn't create any vibration. What should I look into?

Hey, as a previous i/o owner I can tell you that if the prop is not perfect (ie. slightly bent or nicked blades) then you will get some minor vibration when your accelerating. Another possibility is that the prop shaft is bent. Start with the prop, it's cheaper. Is the prop a stainless or aluminum?

If the prop is not the culprit. Check the Gimble bearing. That's what it sounds like to me.

It's an aluminum prop.
