Considering a 4.3 V6 in my restomod project boat.
does anyone know what the minimum width of the doghouse should be for that motor?

Those great big numbers used in Oz must be compensation for something...

Well, like it or not, USA is a metric country, and had been for 45 years (Metric Conversion act, 1975).

I definitely find it easier and more precise to work with metric measurements but, having grown up being taught inches, feet, yards and miles, it makes it hard to estimate lengths by sight. I can look at something and think, that's about four feet long. I have to internally calculate to come up with 1220 mm. Or whatever the exact length is.

Ayuh,..... I wish they'd have done a full blown switcheroo in 1963, when I was 1st exposed to the system,.....

I could own 1/2 as many tools, as I own today,......

Yeah, doesn't work like that, unfortunately. Australia's been metric since 1966, and I still have to own full sets of both imperial and metric tools. I still drill in imperial.
