I have a 2007 regal boat. It contains 4.3 engines of Volvo Penta.
One day, the engine went off while driving and tried to start again but failed.
The cause was the loss of the fuel pump fuse. After changing the new fuse, it started and succeeded, but after a while, the fuse cut off again.
In some cases, the fuse went out when the start motor started turning when the key was turned to start the engine.
In summary, the fuse is cut off while driving, and in some cases, the fuse is cut off at the start of the engine.
What's the cause?

You either have a short in the wiring, bad pump, or poor connections someplace.

Most likely its the pump. The pump runs and as it heats up it starts drawing more current. The current continues to increase until it blows the fuse
