I have a 2009 Reinell with a 4.3Gl-J engine in it. I am having problems with a hose blowing when I take it out on the water. The hose I’m referring to is the U shaped hose coming from the thermostat housing and going into the circulation pump. I took my risers off and they had little to hardly any rust or build up. I replaced my bellows as well as gaskets for the risers. The reason I replaced the bellows is because I thought that the first time this happened it was because I had a ripped bellow. Took it out again and the pressure was building again on the hose, and then It blows off. I also noticed the last time I went out and tested it the starboard side of the engine riser was hotter than the port side riser. Is this because maybe the riser is bad? I only take my boat in fresh water. Anybody that has any information would be greatly appreciated. I’m stuck.

The risers can be bad deep inside.
Take the hose off the bottom of the front of the manifolds.
Take a hose and put it in the hole.
It should flow any and all of the water.
If it shoots back or doesn't seem flow easily, the riser or manifold's clogged.

Looks can be deceiving.
1986 Volvo 4cyl.
Doing an used boat buying inspection.
Looked at the manifold.
Looked shiny and new.
Reached back and touched the top and poked a hole where there should be solid metal?

Its not unusual for one side to be a bit hotter then the other, but the pressure should not be blowing a hose off. Must be a restriction somewhere. If this is a new to you boat then it may have been in salt and to check the exhaust. If only the transfer hose has the pressure then I would look closer at the thermostat housing.
