I have just replaced my holley 4bbl with one from I5 carbs . It runs fine at cruise and midrange.a dead spot on initial acceleration. If I pump the throttle arm, it will accelerate ok. I set the idle and adjusted the floats. I am an old drag racer, so I know my way around carbs. Juat wondered if anyone had a breakdown of what jets, fuel squirters , accelerator pump cam, just think that the flat spot I have on initial acceleration could be caused by the wrong accelerator pump cam, ect. I have set the idle with the vacuum guage, got it to idle pretty decent. I know the accel cams are color coded, but everything on this carb is red.

Barnstormer, I have a list of specs by carb list#. If you post it here I will look it up and see if it is in my list. The list is in Excel form, I will try to attach it later.

I looked the carb up from my 1991 VP 570, and the specs matched what I found when I rebuilt it. You may find this interesting, my engine is the venerable 350 GM with cast ironhigh-rise style sp2p 4bbl manifold and Holley carb, 275HP per the brochures. The carb when I looked it up is type 4150, 715cfm, with primary and secondary metering banks, specced with 2.5 pv, Front jets are 72 and rear jets are staggered 80/90, vacuum pod spring is the lightest one available, and electric choke. It was standard equipment for the 427 AC Cobra, even had a warning that the vacuum secondaries had a tendency to begin to pull open even at idle when the choke was closed. Pretty rich carb, but works well, although I did change the secondary pod spring to a slightly stronger one as it was not using all of the secondaries and could hear that momentary hissing going from wide open to mid throttle.
