4.3L GL white oil all over the place!

Glastron se195 Volvo 4.3L GL. Family and I took the boat out today and we were crusing around for maybe 5min when I noticed that the power was not fully their and the it was kinda jerking. Then the motor started to get louder, so we drove back to shore and when I opened up the engine compartment I saw that there was white oil that was all over the outside of the motor. At this point when we got to shore the motor was running very rough. What could be the cause of the water in the oil, what should I look for, or where should I start. thanks.

First welcome to Iboats!

To assist you need to post some more info. What were the status of your gauges? Could you also post some pictures of the "white oil"? Have you checked the level of engine oil and does it appear any higher than normal? Also, post your full engine and outdrive model number/letters.

all my gauges read normal, oil psi, and temp were normal. One thing I did notice is that my oil is 3/4 of the way up on the dip stick, which im guessing is part water. Just not sure what to look at or check that could cause this kind of problem.

yes, an oil and water milk-shake.

you have an issue somewhere. I would start with changing the oil, then start diagnosing.

are you in fresh water, or salt?
do you live in an area that is prone to freezing?
