4.3l merc engine questions

i have a 1998 and up 4.3 l merc engine in my boat now when i go off of the sn 0l607470 i come up with 4.3l gen+ and 4.3lh gen+...how can i tell if my engine is in fact a L or LH.. i know one has a 2bbl and the other is a 4bbl.. the mercury marine site says the sn is listed for both the 4.3l and 4.3lh..im so confused

the serial number range covers all 4.3's starting in 1998

as bondo asked, when you pull the spark arrestor, is it a 2-barrel carb (LH) or a TBI throttle injection (L)?

Never pulled the carb engine runs fine was just trying to figure out how to tell what engine mine is. It was a replacement to the original. I do feel its a 2bbl carb tho
