Hi, first of all I don't know much about boats engine, I'm helping my parents finding their new boat!

We're looking at 20' Cadorette Holiday 200 with a 4.3L. I know the 4.3LX has 4bbl, better HPs and better fuel economy. Is it worth it to buy a new carburetor and intake manifold to convert the 4.3L or we should just look for boats with the LX engine?

If you have any suggestions feel free to share!

Thank you!

The $$$ to benefit ratio will be pretty low. You'll likely be happy with either setup - I wouldn't worry about changing anything.

I have a Cadorette Holiday 200 (with the LX engine). It's a nice boat. Don't worry about the L vs LX - they're looking at a 24 year old boat so you should be more concerned with overall condition and maintenance history. I love my 200 - Cadorette made great boats and if this one is in good condition don't lose it because of a few horsepower:(
