I've had my boat out on the lake about 10 times this year, and I haven't noticed any issues with it's performance. I have been checking the oil level everytime, and there was never any issues. This morning, before towing the boat out of the driveway, I checked the oil, and it was milky and the level is all the way up near the handle for the dipstick. So now I know I have water getting in there somehow.
There was nothing leaking from the top of the engine, like other people have had. I think I am somewhat lucky to have noticed this before taking the boat out.
So far this Summer, the boat was running fine, and it was properly winterized.
From previous posts, it seems like the possibilities are, a blown head gasket, water in the exhaust, or a cracked block.
Any suggestions? Should I drain this oil right away? There are long waits to get a mechanic up here.
