My 80s 4.5 is rough but nearly runs like new. After this season I'll probably look for a broken one to exchange parts...but in the mean time my current one has a loose knocking sound in the steering.
only when I steer one direction down by the rubber bushings one way is looser than the other down near the bottom of the shaft...but the bushing/rubber doesn't seem loose. It's a metal on metal knocking when you turn. Anyone know what parts contact eachother near that area, or is it only the rubber?
