There is a thing called the "Cylinder Index". AKA, "CI".

The more cylinders you have, the greater your manhood and/or your threat to the planet.

Disclaimer.

For all of you "alternative thinkers" out there, this ONLY pertains to internal combustion, fossil fueled piston engine cylinders. Sorry to dissapoint.

So, let's count em up.

The cylinder index includes:

Cars

Trucks

Boats

ATV's or other pleasure vehicles.

Outboards

Lawnmnowers

Weedeaters,

ETC.

Again, ANY fossil fuel burning (2-stroke/four-stroke) internal combustion engine. Running-or not.

Personally, mine has been all over the board. My high was-"56".

AARGH, AARGH, AARGH!!!!

Re: 4-banger

Oh man, I haven't seen the CI topic in a LONG time...before the internet I remember reading it in various magazines for snowmobiling, boating, etc. Over the past decade, my manhood has apparently been shrinking...only 43 right now.

I've never heard the "running or not" twist to this, however. Back in the good old days it was illegal to claim any cylinders that you couldn't fire up right now and under their own power.

Apparently we're getting soft now....counting the dead soldiers, too. Fun topic anyway.

And they're 4 bangers!

Hey, my old "girly" "Pontiac Iron Duke" 4 banger put out over 350 HP and had all kinds of low end torque - great for the 1/2 mile dirt oval.
