I have a 1960 40 Lark. Just got it, so I don't know how long it has been sitting. It has spark, fresh fuel. I can see fuel in the bowl. I am pulling it, since it needs a start drive. Can't even get a pop or sputter?
Put a little fuel/oil mix in a windex type bottle and spray some down the carb's throat. See if it'll sputter on that.<br />You say you have spark, but loosing spark under compression is a common problem for these old engines. Make sure your spark can jump 3/8" (with the plugs out to make it easy to pull). Often you will be able to jump the plug gap but not much further.
