when i am running down the lake wide open, it will just start slowly slowing down then get to a point where it just dies. then it will not run but at about half throttle even though it is wide open.

i took the carbs off and cleaned them today so i know it isnt that.checked fuel filter.

could it be coil pack or the 2 things under the flywheel?

Have you tried hitting the primer(Choke)when it does this? Sounds like it's starving for fuel and may be a fuel pump problem.

If you shut the outboard off, and restart it does it run good or does it take time to recover?

I have the same motor and had the same problem. the jets in the carbs were sticking..I purchased some OEM engine tuner sprayed it in the carb let it set for a day no more problems now I take the cover off and spray some in the screens after each use and have never had a problem since (knock on wood three times)

did you do all of this? http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=244013

did you check spark when the motor started acting up. that is the only way to determine, if a coil is failing, or a power pack. if a coil is not providing spark. return to the dock, and completely swap the 2 coils, if the problem follows the coil, replace the coil. if the problem stays the the cylinder, you 99% have a power pack problem. have you check compression on both cylinders.
