40 hp yamaha no start

I have a 1994 40 hp yamaha,was running but quit all at once the power tilt will not work either if you jump the starter solinoid it will start and the trim will work,i put a new starter solinoid on about 7 months ago and ran fine till now.what could be causing the solinoid to be going bad. thanks John

Sounds to me like a loose connection not a bad solenoid, but that is just an opinion.
