40 yamaha controls

I just bought a 13 foot boston whaler with a 92 40 hp yamaha on it. I noticed that there are three wires by the controls a yellow, green, and I think blue. What are they for? there is no warning lights or gages on this boat but if these are for that I would add them.<br /><br />Thanks Bill

The green is a tach lead. The yellow and blue go hot with the switch. If you run the blue seperate through the light swicth and to the lights on the guages, lights for guages won't come on except when running lights are on.
