Hey Gang

I have been fighting with an issue getting water in my lower gear case. Finally gave up and took it to the shop to have all new seals put in the lower. Got it back yesterday and took it out for about an hour on the lake. Checked this morning and have water in the oil.

I was planning on leaving tomorrow for a three day trip with the boat. I'm not sure if I will still get enough proper lubrication to go on this trip? Or should I just cancel my plans and take it back to the shop today?

Thanks for your input.

Water can get in from a split shift cable, I had that issue.

I suppose if it were me I'd take it back to the mechnic. Chances are you can get him to go over the thing again for free since his first job didn't cut it but I doubt you'd get him to replace the gears if they siezed up.

my 2 cents
