40hp Yam 2 stroke. Year and tilt problem

I have a pair of Yamaha 40hp 2 strokes that I now have running, thanks to help given here.

2 questions.

1. What is the year, I need to buy a workshop manual. they are 40 HET0 and also GH4, Long shaft.

2. There is a leak from the top of the hydraulic tilt on one of them, where the piston leaves the unit. Is this something that can be fixed by a reasonably competant amateur, or is it a replacement/yamaha dealer job?
