Good afternoon, I have a 1980 45 hp chrysler outboard on a 15' runabout. At full throttle i am only getting about 1600rpm. It runs smooth all the way from idle to full throttle so I don't know if it is an issue with my guage or what. When i run it in a barrel of water it will hit 3500rpm or more but on the water only 1600rpm. I have rebuild the carbs and put new s/plugs in. Like i said it runs smooth, I don't have a working speedometer but seems like i am going about 15 or 20 mph. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
