I have a 45# thrust Bass Pro transom mount trolling motor that I've only used a handful of times. The think just stopped working the other day while out on the lake. Has anybody else had issue with theirs? Suggestions?

No experience with the BPS TM's, but...

Pop the top cover off the trolling motor and check for 12V at the "motor" wires when it's turned on. You could have a loose/broken wire connection, bad switch or bad motor,,, not much else in there.

I repaired an old MotorGuide TM (which those BPS TM's look like) that had a bad switch, $20 fix.

Re: 45# Thrust BPS Trolling Motor

FYI. Just thought I'd share some info in case others may have the same issue. I was finally able to get trolling motor home to my father to take a look. To my surprise he fixed it in just a few minutes. He told me that he took it apart and that it maybe wasn't making a good connection due to the springs being loose. He tightened them up and now it works. Now the shaft that telescopes is tight and and the tension when selecting speed is tight. I guess that is how its supposed to be. Before the handle was very loose and it would slide in and out without any tension at all.
