454/502 knock sensor

Need to buy another knock sensor. Listing shows 805544T as being superseded by 8M0077616. The issue is the older part is much easier to find and cost a bit less, so guess the question; Is the new one better then the older model?

I will assume that they changed vendors, hence the new part number. with that stated, could be the new part number has less usage.

I say buy the one for $29 and go boating.
