RE: 454 Mercruiser 330 HP, 1990
Gents,
My port engine falls off when getting on a plane. I have to move that throttle up about 30% more to keep up with the starboard engine. The secondaries are open and it uses fuel like crazy. In feels like the engine timing isn't advancing. I'm going to put a timing light on it tonight after work to confirm that. If it's not advancing what are my options? It doesn't advance with vacuum so it must be electronic. Any ideas guys? Some info:
1) Full tune up 3-years ago. (I only put about 20-hours a year on the boat)
2) Fuel filters changed
3) Adding Startron to fuel for stabilization
4) Just had carb rebuilt
Thanks for the help guys!
